Weekly Update: Walk Through the Scriptures
Good afternoon! I hope everyone enjoyed the A Bit Deeper episode yesterday. Just a little thank you to all of you. And a big thank you to those who purchased my commentary on Revelation! Support like that helps keep this ministry going! If you missed it yesterday, here’s the link.
And here’s our brief weekly update from Walk Through the Scriptures, including what we covered this week, and a look at what paid subscribers received, and what’s coming next.
This week, we covered 2 Kings 11-15.
These chapters trace a turbulent period in both Judah and Israel, marked by political instability and spiritual inconsistency. In Judah, the line of David is nearly destroyed by Athaliah’s violent seizure of power, but God preserves it through the hidden survival of Joash. In Israel, kings rise and fall through assassination and conspiracy, continuing the pattern of rebellion against the Lord. Even when some leaders in Judah do what is right, they fail to fully remove idolatry, leaving the people divided in their devotion. As Israel weakens internally, and the threat from Assyria begins to grow, signaling the approaching judgment God has long warned about.
And this week, everyone received the A Bit Deeper episode about the rapture of the Church. Paid subscribers also got a couple more chapters in Genesis for our Archive Completion Project.
If you’d like to go deeper than the daily walk, the paid tier includes the weekly “A Bit Deeper” video and full study guide designed for deeper, more reflective study, access to the Archive Completion Project with newly written study guides, and all past paid content.
Whether you’re here every day or just checking in along the way, I’m grateful you’ve chosen to join me as we walk through the Scriptures together.
